The Growing Years:

The idea for Sassy's Cafe started years ago as more and more people tasted and loved the food and or the desserts at the receptions catered by Melody have called asking where they can get more of our food.

Where we're going:

Although we would love to have a Sassy's Cafe & Bakery on every corner, we are committed to maintaining the highest levels of quality that have made us so popular with all of you.

Who's behind Sassy's Cafe & Bakery:

Melody Larsen, Owner, Baker / Cake Artist

From an early age, Melody has had a love for baking that was first inspired by her mother Peggy.  Now, more than Thirty years later, Melody is a Cake designer, baker, and the founder of Sassy’s Café and Bakery.

Geoff has the most enviable job on the planet. As Chief Taster, Geoff provides feedback to Melody regarding flavors, textures and combinations--for the record Geoff has never rejected anything Melody has asked him to taste.

Ashley Borden, Pastry Chef

Ashley graduated from the Le Cordon Bleu Patisserie and Baking program in Scottsdale, Arizona in May 2009. She has always had a deep love for baking and was inspired by Melody from a young age, thanks Melody! Her dream has always been to work in a professional setting where she can design and create beautiful cakes and pastries.

Nicole Bluthe, Pastry Chef

Nicole graduated from the Baking & Pastries program at The Art Institute of Phoenix in June of 2008. She is crazy about Disneyland and is a nerd at heart. She has always loved creating desserts from elegant wedding cakes to decadent chocolates. She was inspired by her mother and grandmothers ever since they taught her how to bake her favorite, chocolate chips cookies.
